Phoenix Vanguard: Rising From the Ashes and Biotic Charging Your Face

So the title was a Mass Effect 3 reference. Sue me, the multiplayer is still sort of fun to play.

This will be my first post in a year and roughly three months, but that's the beauty of a blog: you can forget about it, walk away for a long time, then come back and it will still be there. Journals tend to wander off into the Bureau of Lost if you set them down somewhere.

I updated the sub-heading thing for this blog. It used to say "a 21 year-old," which I fixed to "23 year-old," although even that will be inaccurate in about two months' time. I'm nearing my quarter-century-minus-one birthday now. I'd like to point out that the child part, though, remains accurate. Two days ago I bought a sweet Nerf (not actually Nerf brand, but you get the idea) sniper rifle complete with scope and devastating head shot power, and a few days before that I bought a Batman action figure. And a few days before that I bought a Master Chief figure to display next to the Legion and Big Daddy figures standing guard next to my computer. The point is, toys are cool, and that's typically something a kid would say.

Let's get into the meat of this thing already. A few things have changed since the last time I posted. One solid example is that I now have a job (a real one) and I live in Colonie again. These are, generally speaking, two very good things. I still don't like that I have to have a job, but everybody needs one until they win the lottery. I'm still holding out a shred of hope for that, don't worry. Now I have enough money to play video games as a hobby, and though I decried console games in my previous post I play most things on Xbox 360. I still dislike PS3, and I'd still rather play things on a computer, but at this point I would need to invest hundreds of dollars in a new desktop and I just don't feel like doing that.

I seem to be lacking inspiration now, and it may just have something to do with the brains oozing out of my ears. I'll get back to you on that. Suffice it to say that I have officially updated my blog, and maybe I'll actually start posting here a little more often. Maybe.

  1. Stealth blogging, eh? Better a stealth blog than none at all.
